Both sides secured a bonus-point for their efforts as the home side lost within seven points while the visitors secured theirs through scoring four tries. The iSG Pumas dotted down through fullback Devon Williams, who crossed the whitewash twice, as well as flanker Jeandre Rudolph and Palvie. Flyhalf Chris Smith added two conversions while his replacement, Kobus Marais, added the final conversion eight minutes from time.

The Valke scored three tries themselves through hooker Marco Klopper, scrumhalf Anrich Richter and fullback Coert Cronje while Richter added two conversions himself.

The iSG Pumas were full value in the opening 10 minutes as they raced into a 12-0 lead as Williams went over for his first try of the afternoon after a well-worked move in warm, sunny conditions on the East Rand with Smith converting after five minutes. The visitors extended their lead just minutes later after the Pumas forwards worked their way to the corner with Rudolph forcing his way over the line. Smith missed the conversion from a tight angle.

Midway through the first half saw the home side get back into the match as Cronje broke through the defences to score close to the poles, making the conversion for Richter an easy one as the hosts close the gap to just five points. But the final five minutes of the opening 40 brought some real action to the crowd.

Williams went over for his second try with five minutes left on the clock and with Smith converting, the visitors felt comfortable at a possible 12-point lead going into halftime but the home side had other ideas. Practically straight from the restart, the home side worked their way up the field where Richter sniped round the ruck to score and convert himself as the players went into the break separated by just five points.

Both coaches used their bench to full effect, making a raft of changes in the opening exchanges of the second stanza which resulted in both sides losing some momentum. It was not until the 68th minute that the first points of the second period were added to the scoreboard.

The home side worked their way into a good position and after a strong maul, hooker Klopper controlled well and was rewarded with the score to level matters at 19-all as the conversion was missed by Richter's replacement, Andre du Plessis.

The sides tussled for possession and territory but a wonderful piece of skill from the iSG Pumas saw Palvie go over for what was to be the winning try and despite a late surge from the Valke, they were unable to break the iSG Pumas defence as the men from Nelspruit held on for their second victory of the campaign.
