ABOUT
More about the team
The South African Under-20 team, nicknamed the Junior Springboks, have been competing in the Junior World Championship since its inception in 2008, taking the title in 2012 on home soil, and again in 2025, in Italy. This Under-20 tournament replaced the previously-held Under-19 and Under-21 Rugby World Championships, both of which were won by teams from South Africa on a number of occasions in the late 1990s and early 2000s.
